FINALLY! Here it is, the finished clay of the tree... MAN, am I glad to finally be able to post it! You may not see a lot of difference between this and the last post of it, but the differences are big to me.... I lengthened the fingers a bit and changed the position of the arm to closer match the drawing.
The leaf canopy is still photoshopped in, but I still wanted to give an indication of what it will look like when it's cast in bronze. I sculpted 3 different leaf clump sizes...large, medium and small.... I also sculpted 3 different thicknesses of small branches to be attached naturally throughout the underside of the canopy....
The cheese and crackers that will be hanging down as fruit will be cast in resin and attached at the bronze stage as well... Overall size will be approx. 7 feet high 5 feet wide 6 feet deep I'll be adding little secret hidden things that I can't reveal until the owner sees them in person.... Gotta make you wait...sorry
Now it's time to mold this thing.... I'll take pix of that whole process as well. This will be the first time that I'll have progress shots of a big piece from start to finish.... Thanks to everyone for your patience with my posting of this. I really needed to make sure I was completely happy with the leaf clumps and that is where I spent a large amount of time... The challenge was making the leaves look natural and have some movement.... Thanks to all for your friendship and support! Hope you like it! Take care, Randy Ps I'll be posting shots of the other side as well...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
