So here is the tree with the cheese and crackers in place.
There was more crackers to hang so that will be done later on.
He's still sitting on the crate bottom but Joyce said it will probably be placed permanently early next week.
It was fun because all of the people at the cheese and cracker party each hung a cheese and/or cracker on the tree.
I was sweating bullets wondering if it was going to arrive while we were there but lo and behold, it got there the day before we left so all was well.
It was an amazing experience to be there on the island but the icing on the cake was seeing Joyce and everyone react to the tree.
The cheese and crackers were sculpted, molded and then cast in two part resin.
It was fun because I sculpted a triscuit and goldfish among other shapes.
We went to a cheese importer and took digital shots of labels
photoshopped them and then glued them to the cheese blocks. I was really happy with how they turned out.
The stems are copper wire super glued in to all the cheese and crackers.
Under the leaf clumps are stainless steel eyelets that the wires hang on to.

Mr. Cheesencrackers by *handyrand has tons of character, the pose, the expression and especially the other smaller details that can be seen around the trees (and more clearly in some of the other photos of this piece). ( Featured by !Thebuild )
