Artist's Comments

Today is my wife's birthday so in addition to the Vampire Tea Light, I gave her this card...
The outside was just a simple Happy Birthday and, on the inside, this image was glued in and a caption said, ...to the prettiest smile in the class...
(insert awwwwww)

Can you find her?....

I just thought it was funny that no one in the whole class was smiling at all. But my girl is smiling...heh heh
This is another picture from my parents trunk full of old photos.
The girl that is in the back row, fifth from the left is my grandma.

I have a sudden urge to send you all of my old family photos......
:iconhimmapaan:
Aww...

Your grandma is smiling a little, though :D (or at least attempting to :XD:). And the girl on the first left in the row second from back.

I suppose it must be hard trying to smile when you have to pose for ages and not move at all or the picture will be a blur...

St. Francis said,
“A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”

Such a creative and unforgettable gift. Such a somber bunch. Life must have sucked back then... ;)

Art is not merely an object, it is an extension of the artists soul.

I love old photos like this... we have a couple of family albums with late 19th century photos, I have spent hours and hours on end with my nose buried in them.

Well you know what it was like back then...the milkman probably brought them all sour milk or came late that day.
That could make you pretty upset! ;)

Happy B-Day to Mary!!!!
This picture is very strange, are they all hungry or something. I mean, everybody looks pissed man. I guess people didnt "say cheese", hahaha! I wonder where that even came from anyway?
:iconhandyrand:
She says thanks!
Yeah, it's got an almost chilren of the corn feel to it.
Another deviant explained that the old cameras needed you to stay still for a long period of time otherwise it would look blurry. I suppose it's easier to be serious as opposed to holding a smile...
This is an old prairie school in Minnesota.
My grandmother Emma Hand is in the back row 5th from the left.

Why do it, if it isn't fun?
